Dr. Siang Yong Soh
Consultant Cardiologist

Dr Siang Yong Soh graduated from University of Melbourne. He completed his specialist training at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne (Acute and General Medicine) in 2015 and Canberra Hospital/Calvary Public Hospital (Cardiology) in 2018.
Dr Soh is a general cardiologist who looks after a whole range of cardiovascular related issues including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valve disease, heart rhythm issues, hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia and a range of inherited cardiac conditions. He has close working relationships with some of the top subspecialists within ACT and NSW.
Dr Soh enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors. He looks after patients at National Capital and Calvary Private Hospitals. He is a keen gardener and enjoys outdoor running.
Dr. Ata Doost
Interventional Cardiologist
MD, FRACP, MPhil, FCSANZ, FESC
Dr Ata Doost is an experienced interventional and structural cardiologist with advanced training in leading cardiology centres across Australia and the United Kingdom. He has performed thousands of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisations, with extensive experience in structural heart interventions.
Dr Doost specialises in the use of novel percutaneous techniques to treat aortic and mitral valve disease (including TAVI and percutaneous mitral valve repair, MitraClip), atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and paravalvular leak closure. His research interests include multimodality cardiac imaging, coronary calcification, intracoronary imaging and physiology, and the clinical application of coronary calcium modification.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Doost is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Macquarie University Medical School in Sydney. He has published work on the benefits and outcomes of the radial artery approach in coronary interventions and was awarded a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) from the Australian National University Medical School.
